Compost Bin Pick Up
The compost program at the Fishers AgriPark is offered for free to Fishers residents by Fishers Parks. One, 3-gallon composting bin with 10 compostable liners will be provided per Fishers household at the following pick-up locations and times, while supplies last:
Year-Round
Fishers Parks HQ (8100 E. 106th Street, Suite 150, Fishers)
- Monday – Friday | 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
May – October
Fishers AgriPark (11171 Florida Road, Fishers)
- Tuesday – Wednesday | 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Thursday – Saturday | 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Compost Drop Off
Residents will only be permitted to drop off 3 gallons of compost during scheduled drop-off times. Please only use compostable liners with the BPI logo, as plastic and non-organic materials are not permitted.
Compost drop off will take place at the Fishers AgriPark ONLY during the following times:
May-October
- Wednesday | 4 to 6 p.m.
- Saturday | 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
November-April
- Tuesday | 4 to 6 p.m.
- Saturday | 9 a.m. to noon
What is compost?
Compost refers to the organic material that is typically disposed of after food preparation. For example, peels from produce, produce core, garden waste, and shells. Saving these organic materials, and putting them back into the ground creates nutrient-rich soil, reduces organic waste in landfills, can assist with ground recovery from drought, and prevents soil erosion–just to name a few! By having compost to use at the AgriPark for future crops, you’re helping grow a community garden that will be more sustainable, while also helping reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

- Herbs and spices
- Jams
- Nutshells
- Corn cobs
- Coffee grounds
- Crackers
- Plant matter
- Break
- Cereal
- Husks
- Flour
- Pasta
Keep These Items Out:
- Meat scraps
- Bones
- Glass
- Plastic
- Metal
- Cardboard
- Sawdust
- Sticks
- Animal food and waste
- Acidic foods like lemons and limes
- Oily products like grease and butter
- Coal or ash
- Weeds
- Diseased plants
- Grains
- Personal care items
- Wood
