The Joy of Beekeeping

Saturday, January 31, 2026 • 1 to 2:30 p.m. • Fishers AgriPark • Free

Have you ever wondered how a honeybee finds its way back to the hive, or how honey is made? Or how a beehive can go from less than 10,000 bees to more than 60,000 in just a couple months?

Join Dave Zbieszkowski (Dave Z) in this presentation on the honeybee and the joy of beekeeping. Dave is a Fishers resident and has kept bees for 8 years. He is currently serving as Region 4 Director for The Beekeepers of Indiana and is actively involved in the North Central Beekeepers Club. He also serves as the supervisor for the Hamilton County 4H Beekeeping Project. Dave will bring an empty hive and beekeeping gear and will have time for questions.

The honeybee is an amazing insect and provides so much for humans. Aside from making honey, bees also pollinate many of the fruits and vegetables we commonly consume. Keeping bees is exciting, challenging, and infinitely rewarding. This free educational session will provide you with the basic information to learn more about beekeeping. No registration required.
